Everybody starts in the casino industry somewhere - Robin decided
to commence his career Africa. He spent several years learning
the industry from professionals in Botswana, Lesotho and Swaziland.
During this time with Holiday Inns, he learned to deal and supervise
Craps, Blackjack, Roulette, Baccarat and Poker. Moving to Wrest
Point Casino in Hobart, Tasmania, he continued to gain experience
on the casino floor, and was promoted to Pit Manager. Leaving
Australia and touring the Philippines, Thailand, Hong Kong and
Singapore, he moved back to Africa, where he was a Pit Manager
at Elephant Hills Country Club at Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe.
He ended his Africa experience as a Shift Manager at the casino
located in the Tananarive Hilton in Madagascar. From Madagascar,
it was off to Europe to learn an entirely new style of gaming
operations.
