MONTE CARLO, MONACO, 1977-1978
Robin's first experience with American style gaming, working as a Boxman and Supervisor in the Loews American Casino that, at the time, operated an extensive junket program from various United States markets. This entailed learning all the facets of the market that had not been seen before, ratings, complimentaries to players and the like. The programs were relatively unsophisticated by the standards of today, with no computer driven analysis of the play, and a lot of guess work and "gut feel" going into the decision making. Robin was recruited from Monte Carlo to open a new casino in Spain. |
